A revival of tradition. A statement of grace.
The Debarska Alka is more than adornment — it’s a link to the hands and history that shaped it.
Handmade in Macedonia from 0.925 sterling silver, this cuff bangle is crafted using the rare Graviranje technique — a meticulous vintage method once cherished across the former Yugoslavia. Its clean silhouette is elevated by intricate detail, honouring a tradition passed from artisan to artisan.
Refined, soulful, and unmistakably original — a modern heirloom for those who wear meaning with elegance.
Heritage & History
Heritage & History
The Graviranje technique was developed by a small community of artisans in Debar, Macedonia, and became a beloved style throughout the mid–late 20th century across the former Yugoslavia.
Crafted with specialised tools and blade inserts, Graviranje involves delicate incisions and shaping to form elegant, enduring motifs — often passed down through generations.
For this piece, we’ve collaborated with one of the last surviving Graviranje artisans in Debar, honouring their legacy by reimagining this once-iconic style as a contemporary cuff bangle.
To wear the Debarska Alka is to keep a nearly-lost tradition alive — in beauty, in memory, and in silver.
